Wil Greenstreet has led many musical lives: as a psychedelic rock guitarist in Australia in the 1970s; as an aspiring bebop sax student of Frank Morgan in Los Angeles in the 1980s; as a free improviser in Austin Texas in the 1990s; as a music educator and performer in Rockland County, NY in the 2000s; as a solo performer playing standards on the observatory deck of the Empire State Building in the 2010s. This record is a fully improvised spiritual jazz outing, grounded by a drone and based on a duo session between Wil and his son Morgan Greenstreet on drums and percussion. Morgan then overdubbed layers of analog synth and space-dubs and the picture was completed by the incredible musicality of classically-trained bassist Max Judelson. As "Outstanding Guesswork" Wil, Max and Morgan have been making music together, off and on, for more than 15 years, mostly off the grid and under the radar.
