A Jet Stream is a narrow variable band of very strong predominantly westerly air currents encircling the globe several miles above the earth. There are typically two or three jet streams in each of the northern and southern hemispheres.

I wrote this sketch of a tune way back in 95. I was very inspired by this natural phenomena called a Jet Stream. The sketch seemed to be a perfect vehicle for free improvisation...Jim & I had a lot of fun with this….
